ELM327 Bluetooth configuration manual for Android:

  1. Connect the ELM327 interface to the OBD-II adapter in the vehicle.
  2. Start the vehicle or at least have the ignition switch on.
    • The OBDII socket is normally located under the steering column or on the dashboard, about 3 feet away from the driver.
  3. Locate and activate Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet or Android car radio.
    • Click the Settings icon, and then click Bluetooth Settings.
  4. Search and find the new hardware.
    • It may be displayed as 00: 13: EF: 00: 0A: 69 or similar, but it will be resolved in OBD-II or similar.
    • If the scan results come up empty, disconnect the interface and reconnect it, and make sure you are within range of the Bluetooth signal transmission. If this continues, try it on another vehicle.
  5. After the OBD-II interface has been located, pair using the code: 0000, 1234 or 6789.
